I will say yahoo to anybody out there who can tell me how to get rid of that thing called yahoo when I don't want it on the tool bar or anywhere else. Where is it located and how can I remove it? Any help is appreciated.

You probably have a Yahoo Toolbar installed.
Probably it came with some software you installed.
If you can, get to Control Panel and either Add or Remove Programs, or Programs and Features. From there you want to find Yahoo Toolbar.
When you open the Remove Programs window wait a bit for the list to build.
If you had to use Add/Remove Programs, you will have to find the Change / Remove button on the bottom, your reder should read it if you push tab twice or three times from the list.
From the Programs and Features window - if that's what you had to use - right-click or push context key on the Yahoo Toolbar and pick uninstall.
It's a great day when you remove these spyware toolbars, so when you're done, have a cigar. Just don't make it a cheapy Swisher Sweet.

Booze will be better thanks. the other night, I got in an unstall mood and uninstalled fine reader. Needless to say, open book only said blank to everything I put on the scanner so had to reinstall open book. I thought fine reader was a daisy training tool. Enough of a saga; thanks for your help.

If when in your browser, you press alt V, then go down to toolbars, right arrow then go down until it says Yahoo! toolbar checked and press enter, the Yahoo! toolbar will be disabled and will not cause you further inconvenience.
